Our Vision

Zone 126 sees positive community transformation for the children and families living in Astoria and Long Island City’s concentrated pockets of poverty, created by our work in public schools and improved educational outcomes for local youth.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure every child currently living in public housing has the education and skills needed to graduate from high school prepared for college or the workforce, and enter the 21st century equipped with the tools needed to thrive.
